Yoruba Zoomorphic Gelede Mask 20.75″ – Nigeria – African Art
This mask was carved in the style of a Gelede by the Yoruba people of Nigeria . Gelede masks come in many shapes and sizes. This particular mask features a human like face with horns on his head. The mask measures 20.75 inches tall and weighs 4.5 pounds. The two rear horns have broken and there is some cracking, scuffing and wear and tear throughout – please inspect photos. Stand not included.
